Waterbed : softside or hardside
Depending on the nature of the waterbed frame, the bed is either called HARDSIDE (wooden frame) or SOFTSIDE (foam frame). Hardside beds provide you with a softer sleeping but the disadvantage is that linen is difficult to tuck up and there is a real lack of comfort when going to bed or getting up because of the wooden frame that is not padded.
The softside waterbed is given much support by waterbed users.

It cannot be integrated because of its solid wooden frame which is covered with a removable fabric or leather. The frame can also be made of beech, oiled or washed out, or of mahogany.

Hard foam frame provides you with a better support when getting up. The foam shape makes it easy for you to tuck up the bed.

Waterbed :

This is an important choice that must meet the future user's expectations. You can decide depending on your wish to individually adjust firmness and temperature.
In the case of a waterbed with a single mattress, there must be compromise on heating and firmness. The user's height and weight have to be taken into account with regard to the size of the bed : the larger the bed is, the better the user's size is accepted. This choice is always a personal one and it has to be debated with an experienced professional.

The frame is divided into two parts so that you can tuck up more easily : the lower part of the wooden frame is covered with leather imitation, fabric or leather, and the higher part is made of soft or hard foam. |

AKVA INSIDE model

The bed frame is adapted with an INSIDE waterbed, with foam edges in two parts, which makes it easier for you to tuck up the bed.
|

The foam is hidden by the bed frame and covered with grey furnishing fabric or with beige leather imitation as an option.
|
|
The INSIDE model can be used without any bed frame. This is AKVA SOFTSIDE's softest model. |
