The mattress is the essential element of a good bed.

LA MAISON DU DOS recommends you heat-sensitive and viscoelastic memory foam mattresses, air-conditioned waterbeds and 3D Phi-ton mattresses.

LA MAISON DU DOS has been specializing in heat-sensitive and viscoelastic memory foam mattresses since 1995. With 15 years decreasing warranty to get, we suggest you several models that have been tested and bought by various French medical centres.

The notion of comfort being different from one person to the other, this wide range of products provides you with the support you wish and need (from firm but not hard to soft), and it has been designed with the help of healthcare professionals.

Our mattresses offer you an elastic support through moulding. Our memory foams fit onto the user's morphology and adapt to his or her movements and positions during sleep.

Through the pressure relief they provide you with, heat-sensitive memory foams improve your sleep depth. By facilitating blood circulation, they increase oxygenation and the relaxation of the body joints, muscles and ligaments. The quality of the support and the reduction in pressure depend on the foams density, firmness and thickness.

Our heat-sensitive memory foams do not crush in width like latex or ordinary foams but provide you with a support by moulding that remains even from the edges to the centre of the mattress. This quality in vertical subsidence offer you an accurate support and an even distribution of pressure with a complete independence in sleeping.

Their alveolar structure, known as "open cells", enables the warmth to get into the mattress in order to increase contact elasticity. If prone to great perspiration, one will make sure that the bed is well-ventilated as with any other mattress.

HR foam (High Resilience) is the support base of memory foam mattresses : our heat-sensitive and viscoealstic mattresses do not need to be turned over.

La Maison du Dos selects memory foams that prevent acaruses development. They are Oeko-Tex-labelled first class for their eco-friendly qualities concerning man and environment.

In case of mattress change, you do not need to invest again in a new bed base if it provides you with a well-balanced support. Viscoelastic and heat-sensitive mattresses can be put on bed bases that are manually or electrically articulated.

Waterbed : an air-conditioned bed!
LA MAISON DU DOS is an AKVA Waterbeds dealer since 1994.
AKVA DECO model	Waterbed : softside or hardside Depending on the nature of the waterbed frame, the bed is either called HARDSIDE (wooden frame) or SOFTSIDE (foam frame). Hardside beds provide you with a softer sleeping but the disadvantage is that linen is difficult to tuck up and there is a real lack of comfort when going to bed or getting up because of the wooden frame that is not padded. The softside waterbed is given much support by waterbed users.
It cannot be integrated because of its solid wooden frame which is covered with a removable fabric or leather. The frame can also be made of beech, oiled or washed out, or of mahogany. 2010 new model : Deco Country with its solid pine and mahogany-stained frame.
Hard foam frame provides you with a better support when getting up. The foam shape makes it easy for you to tuck up the bed.	Waterbed : the main advantages
	Anatomical support with pressure relief whatever the position. Mechanical support is wear resistant. The automatic raising of the legs facilitates blood circulation which improves venous return. Several levels for water stabilization thanks to fibre sheets for an à la carte comfort. Adjustment for a personalized and evolving support. Air conditioning : the mattress warmth facilitates the relaxation of the body joints, muscles and ligaments as well as damp evaporation. In summertime, water is cooler than the ambient air and absorbs your warmth without returning it to you, which means more perspiration because of the warmth of your bedding.

All sizes	This is an important choice that must meet the future user's expectations. You can decide depending on your wish to individually adjust firmness and temperature. In the case of a waterbed with a single mattress, there must be compromise on heating and firmness. The user's height and weight have to be taken into account with regard to the size of the bed : the larger the bed is, the better the user's size is accepted. This choice is always a personal one and it has to be debated with an experienced professional.

AKVA JUNIOR : the soft model for juniors

AKVA ALLROUND model
The frame is divided into two parts so that you can tuck up more easily : the lower part of the wooden frame is covered with leather imitation, fabric or leather, and the higher part is made of soft or hard foam.
AKVA INSIDE model
The bed frame is adapted with an INSIDE waterbed, with foam edges in two parts, which makes it easier for you to tuck up the bed.
The foam is hidden by the bed frame and covered with grey furnishing fabric or with beige leather imitation as an option.
The INSIDE model can be used without any bed frame. This is AKVA SOFTSIDE's softest model.
